Ladies Day Out: The Lower East Side's Puerto Rican Culture Festival

Join The Camaraderie NYC for an exciting and energizing day out as we attend the Lower East Side's 36th Annual Loisaida Festival, the largest community celebration festival event in Lower Manhattan, since 1987!

We'll take in a flurry of culture in the forms of music, art, dance, food, costumes and community, hailing from Puerto Rican heritage. 

There'll be a Carnival Paradee, where the diverse global community blends with puppeteers, marching bands and performance artists, young and old to create a one of a kind spectacle of color and fun. We'll explore 50+ artisan makers stalls, 10+ food vendors and merchants and have exposure to 30+ local and city-wide community organizations. 

We'll check out all of the action on the main stage (drum lines, recognized bands, independant artists) and stroll the streets in awe before browsing the wonderful street food and enjoying a delicious lunch! 

Every year on the Sunday before Memorial Day, Loisaida, Inc. celebrates our Latino and Hispanic culture, heritage, food, music and art by turning the Avenue C - Loisaida Avenue corridor into a one-of-a-kind block party spanning across 14th Street to 5th Street inside the historic district known as the East Village/Alphabet City/Loisaida neig
